I'm letting the pictures do the talking. Today was orientation and exploration day. We found our studio building and met with our professor for a little then headed to Europe's largest mall - the Galeria- for some lunch and shopping/browsing. Then headed back to the dorms for a nap before heading out after dinner to go explore the city square and get some dessert.
The main building I have classes in - studio, urban theory, drawing, and sculpture.
Europe's largest mall - Galeria Krakowska. Apparently, people from all over Europe fly into Krakow to shop here.
The plaza outside the Galeria.
St. Mary's Church and Clothe Hall in the city square- the heart of Krakow.

Very cool Alex! Doesn't look like there is any snow... Have you had sunshine yet? What's the terrain like, hilly, flat? Is Krakow similar to other cities you've visited? How often does the bus/tram travel between your dorm and the studio? Any favorite buildings yet? Spider glass?
ReplyDeleteIt snowed here some today, a light coating. Haven't seen the sun in a few days... hopefully soon. Its pretty flat here, some gentle hills but nothing major. The city reminds me of Italy with its stucco buildings, pedestrian friendly streets, and the deep root they have in their culture and history.
ReplyDeleteGetting a round is pretty easy, getting better at reading the bus routes. The buses run pretty regularly- probably every ten minutes or so in between buses running the same route.
